So for all of you who have good TV show taste, let's discuss Glee. We all love the gorgeous new boy/ replacement Finn named Ryder and hate the fact that he's been cat-fished. Poor, sweet, innocent Ryder, who unknowingly fell in love with a boy (who wants to be a woman because obviously women are the stronger sex), could easily have gotten any girl if he really tried. Do the girls at McKinley High not have eyes or are they simply that dim-witted to not have snatched him up. Just look at him:
...and pretend he's got a better hair cut and a better hairdresser. How can they resist? I know I couldn't. Clearly his cat-fish couldn't either, which leads us on to the more important part of this post; the anticlimax. I think we all agree that, really, we were expecting it to be Unique all along, it was obvious. Granted, the writers managed to suspend our belief slightly further when Marley came forward at first but then it turned out to be Unique all along. I was slightly disappointed with this if I'm honest. Partly because, like I said, we had known it had been Unique, and partly because, well, due to it actually being Unique, Ryder isn't going to get his girl that he so desperately wants and deserves. So that made me think. Who do you think it should have been? Believe it or not I actually value your opinions, sometimes. Should it have been...
Heartbreak Jake?
His motives wouldn't have been savage, of course, but the fact that his best friend was in love with his girlfriend must have worried him, if only slightly, because no one is that un-paranoid. He created cat-fish Katie to help his dear Ryder get over Marley.
Miss Oh-so-perfect Marley?
Maybe she had the same motives as Jake or maybe, underlying that innocent facade, is a malicious, self-centred girl who enjoys the attention and affections of young men.
The Kitty with Claws?
This little bitch, a personal favourite character, always gets her way. Perhaps she actually is quite a sweetheart underneath all that mean feminism and liked Ryder but was afraid to tell him for fear of being rejected. This would seem the more likely story for her, as we've seen her turn soft for others (like Artie) she recognizes as friends. Or maybe she just wanted to mess with Ryder for the hell of it.
Or did you really like the fact that it was Wayde/Unique?
Tell me in your comments darlings.
All my love,
A x
